Doing Business with the Scout Outdoor Centre
The Scout Outdoor Centre has been around for a long, long time and has built a reputation for quality products, quality advice and outstanding customer care. Even though you are on a computer rather than in our store, we want you to enjoy the same pleasure of purchase as our personal shoppers. Delivery
Under normal circumstances your order will be dispatched within a few days. Items not immediately available from stock will be ordered for you from the Australian warehouses and you will be advised of the expected date of dispatch. If for any reason we are unable to ship an item within 28 days, the Scout Outdoor Centre will contact you to offer a refund or alternate product.
Order Status Information
The Scout Outdoor Centre team will send you an email when your order has been dispatched and will also email you if there will be any delay in shipping your order. Please take care to supply your correct email address when placing your order.

Shipping Charges
Devising a way of calculating fair shipping charges is a major challenge! A few badges in an envelope doesn't cost much to post but a $39 hydrapack will cost a lot more! Nevertheless, we don't want to charge unnecessarily high shipping charges on small orders. Here is the calculation model we have adopted:
Delivery within Australia
Every order attracts a base shipping charge of A$2.00. To that we add 10% of the value of your order with a minimum of A$3.00 and a maximum of A$10.00. This means that an order of less than A$10 will still attract a A$3 shipping charge. Conversely, once you have spent A$80 you will hit the maximum shipping charge of A$10 so you might as well spend several hundred dollars to take real advantage of our capped shipping charge!Particuarly bulky products attract a predetermined shipping charge. These are clearly noted on the product information. If your order includes both bulky and "ordinary" products, the shipping is calculated for the ordinary products and then the bulky product shipping charge is added.
The Scout Outdoor Centre reserves the right to alter this model if small orders become unviable.
Overseas Delivery
The Scout Outdoor Centre will accept orders from overseas. The shipping charge is based on a similar model as for Australian delivery:Every order attracts a base shipping charge of A$10.00. To that we add 10% of the value of your order with a minimum of A$15.00 and a maximum of A$50.00. This means that an order of less than A$10 will still attract a A$3 shipping charge.
The Scout Outdoor Centre reserves the right to alter this model if small orders become unviable.
Particuarly bulky products attract a predetermined shipping charge. These are clearly noted on the product information. If your order includes both bulky and "ordinary" products, the shipping is calculated for the ordinary products and then the bulky product shipping charge is added separately.
The shipping charge will be displayed to you before you pay for the goods.
Quality Guarantee
The Scout Outdoor Centre is committed to providing quality products to our customers.
Our Quality Control Team inspect every delivery into the Scout Outdoor Centre to ensure that the products you receive meet our high quality standards. However if you do receive a product which is faulty please don't hesitate to call us on 08 8223 5544, to arrange free return delivery and an exchange, repair or refund. Should a fault appear after a garment has been worn, it will be required that you launder it prior to returning it to us.
Satisfaction Guarantee
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any product (perhaps you have changed you mind or it is the incorrect size), you may return it for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase.
The item must not have been used or worn, be in original condition and in original packaging with all labels and tags attached.
Your postage charges on returns are not refundable and you will be charged for delivery of any exchange merchandise.
Product Warranty
All products sold by the Scout Outdoor Centre are backed by a manufacturer warranty. Warranties are of varying length, although usually for one year. If you wish to return an item that you believe is faulty, it may be necessary for the item to be returned to the manufacturer for assessment to determine whether or not you are entitled to an exchange, refund or repair. We recommend that in the first instance you contact us by telephone or email and describe the problem so that we can advise the best course of action.
